MTD - Double Harmonic Mitigating

The DOUBLE HARMONIC SWEEPERTM gives you the opportunity to treat the 3rd, 5th &
7th harmonics with a single transformer having a double secondary with both 0 degree and 30 degree phase displacement. Furthermore the DOUBLE HARMONIC SWEEPER has a low impedance with low voltage distortion, because the triplen harmonics are cancelled in the magnetic circuit and do not circulate in the primary winding. The 5th and 7th harmonics are eliminated due to the phase shift angle of 30° between the two outputs .

This harmonic cancellation transformer may be used with loads having a high content of 3rd,
5th & 7th harmonics like line-neutral rectifiers. The DOUBLE HARMONIC SWEEPER™ is an effective double phase shift transformer (similar to a delta/double zig-zag). Simply install the unit, split and equally balance the non-linear load between the double outputs, and the harmonic content will be effectively reduced.

TPOA - Three Phase Auto Open Type

• Marcus Type TPOA three-phase auto transformers provide a quick and simple way to convert standard supply voltages to those special voltages required by small loads and fractional motors.
• These compact open-type copper transformers are Y-connected and are fitted with clearly labelled fiberglass terminal boards with solidly fixed connection studs for easy installation.
• Unlike the use of multiple unit buck-boost arrangements, there is no complicated internal wiring necessary and no conversion charts to decipher.
• As with all auto transformer installations, the loads are not isolated from the line source and caution should be exercised when there are electronics or computer controls present.
• Available in a full range of voltage combinations up to 3KVA.




MC - Buck/Boost Wiring

• Buck-boost transformers are small single phase transformers designed to reduce (buck) or raise (boost) the line voltage.
• The most common example is boosting 208V to 230V for motor load operation.
• Buck/Boosts are standard single phase transformers with primary voltages of 120/240 and secondary voltages of 12/24 or 16/32.
• They are available in sizes ranging 50VA to 5kva.

Applications

• When supply voltages are consistently too high or too low, the equipment fails to operate at maximum efficiency.
• Anytime you have a lower than standard voltage, equipment failure or damage can result.
• Efficient operation of electrical equipment requires that line voltage be at or near the nameplate rating of the equipment. In order to match line voltage with equipment voltage,  buck-boost transformers provide the most convenient and least expensive method.
• Do not use buck-boost transformers to solve a fluctuating voltage problem.

 

 

 


TPCA - Three Phase Control Autotransformers

• Three phase control autotransformers offer a fast and simple way to convert standard line voltages to those required for small loads and small motors.
• These compact, NEMA-1 enclosed autotransformers are Y-connected and come equipped with clearly labeled fiberglass terminal boards with solidly fixed terminals in order to facilitate the installation.
• Unlike connecting multiple buck-boost type transformers, there is no complicated internal wiring to carry out nor any conversion charts to decipher.
• In common with all other autotransformer installations, the loads are not isolated from the line and caution must be taken to ensure the load doesn’t contain any electronic controls or computer loads.
• Available up to 3000VA (3kVA) with a full range of line and load voltages.

EUR-EX - Euro Export-Ready Transformers

Marcus Euro Export-Ready transformers are used to convert any standard 3 phase U.S. voltage to a standard 3 phase European voltage. This is useful when importing European machinery to the U.S. Additionally, these transformers when ordered in 50Hz can be connected in reverse to convert European power to U.S. power when importing U.S. machinery into Europe. Either way, these transformers are built to last, guaranteed!

Don't have floor space to mount your Euro Export-Ready transformer? No problem! Heavy duty wall mounting brackets are supplied on all Euro Export-Ready transformers up to 45KVA. Save your valuable floor space for your machinery instead of cluttering it with electrical equipment. When you wall mount this transformer in a warehouse, you no longer need to install concrete filled, steel barrier posts to protect the transformer from forklifts and other warehouse machinery.

Connections are made simple with Marcus’ Euro Export-Ready transformers. Jumpers are not necessary on the primary winding to change voltage because all voltages are brought to a solidly fixed terminal board for fast and easy connections. Dual taps are provided on the output board for 380 or 400volts Wye. Lugs are provided for easy and fast connection on the input and output side.

Marcus Supreme
Marcus Supreme generates a minimum of 33% less losses than the regulated standards (CSA C802.2 and NEMA TP-1) mandate and meets the most severe efficiency levels of the recommended DOE CSL-3. This translates into significant dollar savings for both rrtrofit and new installations.

Retrofits:

The replacement of an older, non-compliant transformer with a Marcus SupremeTM will result in savings in the total life cycle of the installations.

Example: Replacing a 45KVA loaded at 50% will result in a savings of $618 a year and of $18,450.00 over a 30 year period (based on $0.10 a KWH)
